Just got a new video card GeForce 8500GT (512mb) and im getting some funky colors and visuals when playing certain games that require high requirements. It also crashes and freezes so i have to exit the games. quite a few people say it might be overheating of the card? theres the temperature above, i dont know if its good or not. what else could be causing this?|||hi andy, what it boils down to is performance so lets fix this shall we hit start>settings>control panel go to display and set your resolutions to 1280x1024 then it will ask you do you want to save these settings say yes. now go to your homepage, wow look how small everything is hit tools scrol down to zoom or page settings and set your homepage to match screen and save. then go back to display again and set your icon to the size that you want them then apply. then go to system and set your dep to large. now you are set to maximum settings and if you refreshed your score you would have a 5.0 and that is good. hope i have been helpful good luck.|||its not over heating if there always there

your card might be slightly damaged

other than the obvious check the webiste for new driver speech

RMA that thing|||47 degrees is not very hot for a GPU. The threshold is more around 70 degrees. I would say it is the card itself.
